If you live in Cobb County and you’re looking for something new to do this Thanksgiving weekend, why not try exploring your community in a new way — on two wheels?
Smyrna and Kennesaw now boast bike share systems where you can ride for free or cheap.
Smyrna’s program got up and running in September.
The Town Center Community Improvement District kicked off its new bike share system to serve the Kennesaw community just last week.

Details on the new Town Center program in Kennesaw are as follows.
Bicycles are available for rent at three docking stations along the Noonday Creek Trail, a seven-mile concrete path system. They include:
- The future home of Town Center Park, on Town Center Drive, behind Town Center Mall.
- Bells Ferry Trailhead, between Cobb Parkway and the intersection of Barrett Lakes Boulevard and Duncan Road.
- The future home of Aviation Park, at Cobb Place Boulevard and Barrett Lakes Boulevard.
The Town Center CID partnered with Zagster to implement and maintain the bike share system.
Bike share memberships are available on www.zagster.com/towncenter or may be set up using the Zagster mobile app. Membership is free and open to everyone over 18 years of age with a valid credit or debit card. The first hour of riding is free. Each additional hour is $3. The maximum cost is $24 per day.
