fading, fading, fading.  The Chattanooga Times Free Press reported over the holiday weekend that Mayor Andy Berke said he doubts there is money or political will to build a high-speed train linking the two cities. “Any kind of intercity rail doesn’t happen without large-scale federal investment,” Berke told the reporters and editors at the newspaper. “It’s pretty clear that the federal government is not in a position right now to do large-scale infrastructure investments.”
